DIGITAL FILE NOTES

Macintosh File Notes

Occasionally, MAC files transferred over the Internet arrive without sufficient FONT information.   Please remember to embed all fonts within the document.  Alternatively, fonts may be converted to outlines and saved as graphic images which are easily reproduced.  All MAC files should be compressed using STUFFIT format.

File Compression

When sending large files, it may be in your best interest to use an external file compression utility.  Colourchrome is fully equipped to receive files in either ZIP format (PC/Windows) or STUFFIT format (MAC).  Both these utilities can significantly reduce the transfer file size without effecting image quality. They also allow you to compress multiple files into a single compressed file for transport.
